BBLIST #1091 – WTB Monitors

Ahoy! An item which always sells on BB List is the humble monitor.

We have a number of buyers who are always on the lookout for all types of monitors.

Yes, they are still popular with crew, sound crew like to have them for their soundcart systems, they are also popular with the camera department for setting up lighting and for director etc. The small dotty little monitors on arms can sell all day long.

The old CRT monitors are very popular with the vintage gamers.

Gamers particularly like CRT monitors, it gives that vintage aesthetic to their project.

This type of portable location monitor is popular for making PacMan gaming tables etc

All formats are popular. Composite monitors were first made popular with the Raspberry Pi because it had a composite output for this purpose. S-Video monitors are also popular, as you know, S-Video (Y/C) had a much crisper image than composite, it didn’t suffer from PAL artefacts.

Component HATS have become available for the Raspberry Pi, component monitors are the ‘gold standard’ for gamers.

When they can get hold of them, some gamers prefer to buy huge SDI CRT monitors… we have no idea what hardware they are using to build their gaming machines. Maybe these are for SIM Racing type machines driven by a PC? Get in touch below if you know.

Then, we have BB Listers who buy up top notch colour grading monitors, monitors like the Sony PVM-A250 and Sony PVM-A170. We could have sold the last few of these several times over!

If you have a spare monitor and want to convert it to some spare cash then please make a for sale listing here:
