Here in the UK we’re right in the middle of “Stop Fortnight” – that traditional period covering the last week of July and the first week of August when it seems like the whole industry heads off on holiday.

It’s usually a quieter couple of weeks, with sales easing off before ramping up again as everyone returns to location and the busy shooting season kicks back into gear.

That said, this year has been a pleasant surprise. Sales have remained reassuringly buoyant, with plenty of interest in all the usual favourites: radio mics, mixers, recorders, tripods, cameras and microphones.

We’ve been making the most of the sunshine ourselves, spending some quality time on the beach while checking in on you lovely lot from time to time. It’s been absolutely heavenly!
